Four people including a man and his two sons were killed while a 4-year-old passer-by child was critically wounded when two rival armed groups exchange firing in Turo Qasim area of Mardan on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The slain man and his two sons were belonged to the same group while the fourth deceased belonged to the other group.
The deceased were later identified as Mirza Khan, Jamal Shah, Zahir Shah and Sabaz Ali. Soon after receiving the report of the incident, a Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies and the injured child to a hospital.
Police after registering a first information report (FIR) started collecting evidence from the crime scene.
Further investigation was under way.
