Lahore Traffic Police on Saturday submitted its final recommendations in the court for implementation of traffic rules as the e-challans failed to prevent the public from committing traffic violations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The traffic personnel said that they had imposed Rs5.75 billion penalties on drivers for violating traffic rules but traffic violations are increasing day by day.

They further said that due to lack of transparent system e-challans system is losing its worth.

The traffic officials said that amount of e-challan must be recovered from the salary of any government employee and necessary directives should be conveyed to Accountant General of Pakistan (IGP) in this regard.

They further advised NADRA official to block CNIC of all traffic violators on priority basis and avoid to extend or attest their credentials.

Any vehicle who committed 10 traffic violations should be impounded.

Necessary instructions should be passed on to all relevant departments to ensure hundred percent implementation on traffic rules.

They suggested that hundred percent implementation on e-challans recovery is not possible without a comprehensive mechanism.
