The government of Sindh has recommended a civil award for the provincial police chief, Javed Alam Odho, in recognition of his services to the state and the public, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to official sources, the Sindh Home Department has forwarded a formal recommendation to the secretary of the Implementation Services Wing of the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department.
The letter recommending the honour was sent under the signature of the deputy secretary (administration) of the home department, officials said.
In the communication, the department proposed that the Inspector General of Sindh Police be nominated for a civil award in recognition of what it described as his outstanding performance in public service and his contributions to the state.
The letter stated that Odho had demonstrated exceptional achievements during his tenure and highlighted his leadership, dedication and significant role in strengthening policing and public service.
The home department recommended that he be formally nominated for the civil award in acknowledgement of his exemplary leadership and notable contributions.
