Popular Pakistani actress Ayeza Khan found herself in hot water after becoming neutral in the ongoing tension and war situation between Pakistan and India.
She took to her Instagram handle and shared a post that reads, "I stand with Humanity. Humanity comes first above religion, race, nationality, politics, or personal interests.”
Her message of promoting peace created a buzz on social media where netizens lash out at her for not taking Pakistan's side and not having a clearer stance.
A tweet by an X (Twitter) user mocked her post, saying, “Simply put; I don’t want to lose attention from my Indian audience.”
The user was of the view that Ayeza does not want to lose her Indian fans, that's why she is having a neutral opinion.
This is not the first time Ayeza Khan has faced backlash for his neutral opinions. Previously, she deleted a pro-Palestine story from her profile, igniting criticism and accusations of prioritizing personal image over global causes although she later apologized.
This time, too, she edited her caption, "I stand with Pakistan ???????? Pakistan Zindabad."
One user replied, “Jaahil aurat".
Although she turned the comments off, but continued to receive hate.
