Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday termed the Indian claims about attacks by Pakistan on their military installations "a big lie".

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Dar said that India was just trying to cover up the embarrassment it suffered after the Pakistani forces downed five of their planes while defending the homeland. He that Pakistan's armed forces tackled around 80 Indian warplanes on Tuesday night. He said that India has carried out strikes at 24 places inside Pakistan so far. He said that one of the Indian drone tried to hit a cricket stadium in Rawalpindi where Pakistan's national and international players were playing a PSL match. He appealed to Pakistanis to have faith in God and the armed forces of Pakistan.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that Indian claim about attacks on 15 places by Pakistan were “such a fantastic and cooked up story”. He said it was a “phantom defence they have mounted” as neither Pakistan carried out any strikes inside Indian Punjab nor India put up any defence. He asked if the Indian government would ever come out of the world of cinema and face the real world.

He said that Indian media was creating a war hysteria across the border and war drills were being done in many Indian states. He said entire world would come to know when Pakistan would attack India; Pakistan's attack would not need Indian media's publicity. He said that every moving object that comes from the Indian side is watched carefully and neuteralized at right time.

Chaudhry said that India sent 30 drones and Pakistan neutralized 29 of them. He said that only one drone managed to reach its target and four army men were wounded in this engagement. He said that three people have been martyred and four wounded in these attacks. He said that one of the Indian drones was headed to the Sikh holy place in Nankana Sahib. He said that both the Pakistan Army and the Pakistani nation are “battle hardened” therefore they are not afraid of India. He said there was no need to fear anyone.

Both Dar and Chaudhry said that Pakistan asked India to give proof of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, but they didn’t.
