A dacoit was killed and another injured during firing on a police team within the limits of Koral police station in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to police, the accused were involved in a murder case during a robbery in Ghauri Town.
The police were taking accused Ahmed Shehzad and Muneeb-ur-Rehman for recovery on identification.
The accomplices of the accused hiding on the way allegedly fired on the police team to free the accused.
The arrested accused Ahmed Shehzad was killed while Muneeb-ur-Rehman was injured in the firing by the accomplices.
The injured accused was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. However, raids were being conducted to arrest the accomplices.
