Police in Rawalpindi on Wednesday arrested two people, who were going to provide clubs, string shots and packets of salt to the protestors belonging to a religious-political party, and registered a case against them under terrorism and criminal conspiracy-related sections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As many as 54 rods, 37 string shots and hundreds of packets of salt were also recovered from the suspects.
These objects were to be used by the members of a religious-political party against the law-enforcement agencies’ (LEAs) personnel during their protest on October 10.
Police said that violence could not be condoned in the garb of political activities, and those taking the law into their own hands would be dealt with an iron hand.
