Six people lost their lives in two road accidents in Muridke and Bhakkar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
In the first road accident in the Saddar area of Muridke, two labourers died and three became seriously injured when a speeding bus crushed them as they were coming out of their factory on Sheikhupura Road.
The dead labourers were identified as Mohammad Ali 25 resident of Seekam, and Naseem Shah, 45 resident of Kathala.
The injured persons are Mubasshir, 26, Rehman, 22, and Altaf, who was 28 years old.
Soon after receiving the report Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ), Muridke.
Later, two injured labourers were shifted to Lahore as their condition had deteriorated.
Police said that the driver of the vehicle escaped from the scene, leaving behind his vehicle.
In the second road accident, four people died in a collision between a car and a truck at Bhakkar Road, Darya Khan. The accident occurred due to overspeeding.
The car was coming from Darya Khan to Bhakkar, and the truck was going to Bhakkar from Dera Ismail Khan.
Soon after the incident, the Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Bhakkar.
