A Serene Air flight made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Karachi on Monday after the captain of the aircraft reported a technical fault in the plane, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The flight was scheduled to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) Lahore from Jeddah.
Sources said that the captain of the Serene Air flight immediately contacted the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) of Jinnah International Airport Karachi and sought permission for an emergency landing.
During a detailed examination, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) inspectors detected leakage of fuel from the aircraft.
The engineers started work on the maintenance and repair of the aircraft. The flight was en route to Lahore from Jeddah.
Most of the passengers were returning after performing Umrah.
