Civil Defence Lahore on Tuesday dismissed from service its 38 volunteers, who were serving in different departments, without giving any reason, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
These volunteers were deployed at DC Office, Civil Defence Office, Town Hall and other departments.
They were discharging their duties as office boys, drivers, PR department, control room, IT, complaints cell and photographers.
The sudden firing has caused concern among the volunteers who have been performing their duties for 15 years.
The sacked volunteers have so far not received any salaries.
