Petrol, diesel prices increased again

The federal government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel under the revised petroleum pricing mechanism, with the new rates taking effect from Sept. 9, 2026.

According to a Ministry of Energy press release, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority revised the ex-depot price of petrol, or Motor Spirit, by Rs5.58 per litre.

The price of petrol has increased from Rs358.77 to Rs364.35 per litre.

OGRA also raised the price of high-speed diesel by Rs4.18 per litre, from Rs381.77 to Rs385.95 per litre.

The revised prices will apply from Sept. 9.
