A signing ceremony of an important memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bank of Punjab and the Office of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was held in Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The MoU was signed as per the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of Digital Punjab under the leadership of Advisor to CM Punjab on Artificial Intelligence Ali Dar.
In this regard, Ali Dar said the determination to take Punjab forward in the digital era is taking shape.
Ali Dar said this agreement will open a new chapter in the practical use of Artificial Intelligence in Punjab.
Punjab AI Data Center and Financial Data Warehouse to be established in Nawaz Sharif IT City, Ali Dar said.
He said a target has been set to make Punjab the largest AI-enabled province in South Asia by 2029.
A strong data infrastructure will make Punjab an active AI hub in the region, Ali Dar said.
He said modern credit solutions will be introduced for farmers, small businesses and the housing sector.
Access to financial facilities will be made easier for the general public through AI, Ali Dar said.
He said under the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, the province will be fully steps are being taken to make it digital and AI-enabled.
Ali Dar said this initiative will play a positive role in the goal of providing more than 100,000 jobs.
This partnership will open doors of technology and employment for the youth, Ali Dar said.
He said collaboration with startups, universities and global AI companies will be promoted.
SMEs, agriculture and underprivileged sections will have easier access to loans, Ali Dar said.
We will strengthen the economy and empower the people through AI, Ali Dar concluded.
