Pakistan, Türkiye reaffirm close ties as Dar, Fidan discuss regional situation

Pakistan and Türkiye have reiterated their commitment to close coordination and regional peace, as Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Thursday held a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi.

During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation, with a particular focus on recent developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.

Hakan Fidan appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in helping achieve the recent ceasefire, acknowledging Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement in promoting stability. He also conveyed Türkiye’s support for Pakistan’s efforts in this regard.

Both sides underscored the importance of sustained dialogue and coordination, agreeing that continued communication remains essential in addressing regional challenges effectively.

Expressing optimism, the two leaders hoped that the ceasefire would serve as a stepping stone toward lasting peace and long-term stability in the region.
