Kim Kardashian has revealed she travelled to Mexico alongside her sister Khloé Kardashian to undergo a cutting-edge Muse stem cell treatment that is not currently offered in the United States.
The 44-year-old SKIMS founder shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of photos from inside the minimalist-looking Eterna Health clinic.
Among the images was a shot of Kim in black pyjamas and dark protective goggles posing with her physician, Dr Adeel Khan, as well as a close-up of the procedure itself, where blood could be seen on her back.
Kim explained that her journey with stem cell therapy began two years ago after she tore her shoulder while weightlifting, leaving her in 'debilitating pain'.
Traditional treatments brought no relief, but she says her condition transformed after receiving Dezawa Muse cell therapy from Dr Khan.
“I regained full range of motion, and my shoulder has felt completely normal ever since,” Kim wrote.
Encouraged by that success, she returned to Mexico to address the chronic back pain she has battled for years.
According to Kim, the results were 'immediate' and the 'unbearable pain' she had endured is now gone.
Muse stem cell therapy, as described by Eterna Health, aims to achieve 'complete cellular renewal' by replacing compromised cells with fully functional tissue in muscles, joints, and other areas.
While certain stem cell procedures, such as those using umbilical cord blood for blood disorders, are FDA-approved in the US, most other applications remain experimental and are unavailable domestically.
Kim noted that her latest procedure was a 'game-changer,' but she stressed the importance of individual research.
“Everyone is different, and I’m just sharing what has worked for me lately. Definitely do your own homework and talk to medical professionals,” she advised followers.
Alongside promoting Eterna Health, Kim expressed gratitude for having the means to pursue the treatment and voiced hope that advancements in medical science will make such therapies more widely accessible.
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity and resources to pursue this healing, and I pray the science continues to evolve so more people can benefit,” she said, tagging both Dr. Khan and Eterna.
Muse stem cells are not available in the US, so the trip to Mexico was a necessity.
Kim credited the clinic and her doctor for transforming her quality of life, signing off her post with: “Here’s to hope, healing, and the future of science.”
