A woman was killed while her husband and two children were injured after the roof of their house, weakened by rains, collapsed in a village on the outskirts of Kasur on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The dead as well as the injured were shifted to a hospital.
The deceased woman was identified as 38-year-old Mafia, while the injured as Hanif, Abu Bakr and Fatima.
Lahore receives rain
Different parts of Lahore and other cities of Punjab received rain early in the morning on Sunday, resulting in drop in mercury.
Rain was accompanied by a cool breeze which turned the weather pleasant.
The Met Office said that the maximum temperature in the city of gardens would reach 34 degrees Celsius while it would remain 28 degrees Celsius on the minimum side.
Breeze was blowing at the speed of five kilometres per hour.
There were reports of rain from Gulberg, Jail Road, Liberty Market, CBD and other areas.
Rain forecast for Islamabad
The Met Office forecast partly cloudy weather for Islamabad, with chances of rain at a few places during the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature in the federal capital was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, while it was expected to touch the 33 degrees Celsius mark during the day.
Winds were blowing in the city at the speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
The level of humidity was recorded at 78 per cent.
More rain predicted
Meanwhile, the weather department said that rain was likely at a few places in Punjab, Balochistan, upper KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
PDMA releases flood fact sheet
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), in a flood fact sheet issued on Sunday, said that the River Indus was in low flood at Kalabagh, Chashma and Taunsa.
It further said that the water level in Tarbela Dam was 99 per cent, while it was 64 per cent in Mangla Dam, 50 per cent in Thein Dam, 47 per cent in Pong Dam and 43 per cent in Bhakra Dam.
The PDMA informed that monsoon rains were recorded in different cities of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
114 millimeters of rain was recorded at Lahore airport; 59 at Sialkot; 40 in Kasur; 16 in Hafizabad; 13 in Faisalabad and Dera Ghazi Khan each; 12 in Kot Addu, 11 in Chakwal and Gujranwala each; 10 millimeters in Murree, six millimeters in Sheikhupura and five millimeters in Multan.
