A huge fire erupted due to gas leakage from a stove in godown of factory located at Nowshera Sansi Road, Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The sudden fire engulfed entire premises of the factory. Two labourers received severe burn injuries.
Soon after receiving the report of incident, Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control and shifted the critically injured workers to nearby hospital.
Earlier, in September, 2024, a gas leak in the storeroom of a house near Liaquat Road in Gujranwala led to an explosion and subsequent fire, injuring four members of a family.
Rescue services confirmed that those injured include 45-year-old Fazilat, her 46-year-old husband Shahid, and their daughters, 20-year-old Aansa and 18-year-old Farrukh.
The rescue team said the victims were quickly moved to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.
Authorities have advised residents to ensure proper safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
