A policeman in uniform opened fire on a citizen and injured him after he spotted the cop sexually assaulting a woman beggar in Manawan area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The injured youth, Sajid, was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Locals caught the police officer and handed him over to Manawan police.
The police officer was identified as Amjad and is posted in Shafiqabad police station.
Police have registered a case and were investigating the policeman’s activities.
A mobile phone video of the incident has surfaced and in the mobile video, the police official can be seen making indecent gestures and opening fire.
