Sonya Hussyn joined the wave of celebrities who made their way to Lahore to celebrate Basant 2026.
Traveling specially from Karachi to Lahore, Sonya shared glimpses of her festive getaway through Instagram stories, capturing the color, culture and carefree spirit of Basant.
The celebrations unfolded in classic Lahori style, with rooftop gatherings, fluttering kites and music filling the air.
Sonya was seen enjoying the festivities alongside her sisters Sana Hussyn and Saima Hussyn, as well as close friends from the industry, including Zoya Nasir, Ali Zafar, Nadeem Baig director and others.
The group danced, laughed and soaked in the energy of the city as traditional tunes.
Sonya’s fashion choices reflected the dual mood of the celebrations. For the evening, she opted for an elegant black velvet ensemble, elevated with a rich purple and gold Banarasi dupatta.
During the daytime rooftop festivities, she embraced a more relaxed Basant look in a printed olive green and mustard suit, paired with a purple dupatta, oversized sunglasses and a high ponytail.
No Basant celebration is complete without food, and Sonya’s stories also highlighted a traditional Lahori brunch spread.
From halwa puri and channay to naan, aloo and saag, the feast reflected the deep rooted culinary traditions associated with spring mornings in Lahore.
Sonya wasn’t the only celebrity celebrating Basant this year. Several stars, including Amna Ilyas, Durefishan Saleem, Maya Ali, Zoya Nasir and Yashma Gill, also shared moments from kite flying events and cultural gatherings, signalling a broader industry embrace of the festival’s return.
