Police registered a first information report (FIR) against a male student of Barani University for raping a female classmate in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to details, a female student approached Shamsabad Police Station for registration of an FIR against her classmate.
In the FIR, she stated that the accused, Mohammad Faizan, used to blackmail her after making objectionable videos and photos of her.
Later, the accused threatened to upload her pictures and videos on social media.
The girl stated that the accused raped her many times in her car and flat. Later, the police arrested Mohammad Faizan and recovered a laptop, a car, and a mobile phone, which were used in the crime, from his possession.
Police said that Mohammad Faizan and the victim were classmates. Further investigation was under way.
