The federal government ordered the transfer of Secretary of Petroleum Mohammad Momin Agha with immediate effect on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Establishment Division already issued a notification in this regard. Momin Agha has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Earlier, on January 6, 2026, the federal government announced several transfers and postings of civil and police officers.
Shahzad Iqbal had been appointed Member (Gas) in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). He had been appointed on a contract basis in the MP-1 scale for a period of three years, with the tenure to take effect from the date he assumes charge of the office.
In another development, Ahmed Talha Wali, a Grade-18 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, had been transferred.
According to the notification, the services of SP Ahmed Talha Wali, who was serving under the Punjab government, had been placed at the disposal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The transfer had been made with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Abdul Waheed Deputy Director (GRC) in the National Telecom and Information Security Board (NTISB) under the PPS-10 scale. This appointment has been made as part of the “Cyber Security for Digital Pakistan Phase-1” project. The contract will be valid for one year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier, and is effective immediately.
