Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi met with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed with him the steps being taken for the promotion of the game in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Aisam, on the occasion, informed Naqvi of the issues confronting tennis courts in Islamabad.
The PCB chairman directed the concerned officials to improve the condition of the tennis courts in the federal capital besides resolving other issues.
He also assured the PTF president of every possible cooperation for the promotion of the sport in the country.
The PCB chairman said just like cricket, there existed in Pakistan a lot of talent for tennis. “We will build new tennis courts in the country. The government wants the youth to win laurels for the country in tennis as well,” he added.
Aisam thanked Naqvi for taking an interest in the promotion of the game.
He congratulated the PCB chairman on the successful holding of the Champions Trophy in the country.
He also praised the efforts being made by Naqvi for the promotion of cricket in the country.
