Director General of ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has strongly condemned India's role in recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan, declaring that India has adopted state-sponsored terrorism as an official policy to destabilise Pakistan.

In an interview with Al Jazeera TV, the DG ISPR reacted to last month’s deadly bomb blast in Waziristan, which claimed the lives of 16 Pakistani soldiers and injured over 20 others. The attack was claimed by the banned militant group “Fitna Al-Khawarij”, referring to factions of the Pakistani Taliban.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif stated that India’s hostile activities, particularly in Balochistan, are part of a systematic conspiracy to destabilise Pakistan.

He emphasised that countries like the United States and Canada have also acknowledged India’s state-sponsored terrorist activities, identifying Ajit Doval—India’s National Security Advisor—as the mastermind behind the global terror network.

He further explained that the group Fitna Al-Khawarij represents a distorted ideology, a continuation of violent extremism that targets innocent Muslims.

He underscored that in Islam, only the state has the authority to declare jihad or military action, dismissing any justification these groups may claim.

The DG ISPR also referred to the term “Fitna Al-Hindustan”, which is used in Pakistan to denote India-backed terrorist elements working to destabilise the country, especially in Balochistan.

He added that India’s political leadership has repeatedly admitted to supporting terrorism within Pakistan, both financially and strategically, and such aggression poses a direct threat to regional peace.

During the interview, General Ahmed Sharif also reiterated Pakistan’s diplomatic support for Iran, which has recently come under Israeli aggression.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s nuclear program is fully secure, declaring, “No one can dare target our nuclear assets. Pakistan is a responsible, declared nuclear power.”

According to Al Jazeera TV, this statement was a direct reaction to the Waziristan blast, which Pakistan believes involved Indian backing of militant proxies.
