PPP MNA Shazia Marri clashes with State Minister on Interior Talal Ch over PML-N efforts to create hinderances regarding the submission of CDA Amendments Bill in the committee, reported 24NerwsHDTV Channel.
PPP leader Shazia Marri expressed her anger at the alleged obstruction in presenting the CDA Amendment Bill in the National Assembly Standing Committee meeting. She announced to launch a privilege motion against CDA Chairman. Talal Chaudhry said that if Shazia Marri brings a privilege motion, he will fully defend the CDA Chairman.
Shazia Marri said that the bill, which was delayed for five meetings, has now been included in the agenda. She said, “interference in the parliamentary process was unacceptable, if obstacles are created, I will definitely present a privilege motion”. On this, Talal Chaudhry strongly defended the Chairman CDA and said that “if you bring a privilege motion, I will face it myself.”
Later Three PPP members walk out from meeting over disrespectful behaviour from Talal Chaudhry. The clash began when PPP MNA Shazia Marri raised concerns over the lack of facilities for differently-abled persons in Capital Development Authority (CDA) buildings, insisting that the legislation she proposed was within her constitutional right. However, she accused the government of attempting to suppress this legislative initiative.
“I will bring a privilege motion,” Marri asserted. Responding defiantly, Talal Chaudhry said, “Bring the motion -- I will face it.”
This triggered a furious reaction from senior PPP leader Nabil Gabol, who lashed out at the minister's tone and accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of arrogance. “You got your majority in charity. Don’t forget, we’ve toppled a government before, and we can do it again,” he said.
Amid the escalating confrontation, three PPP members — Shazia Marri, Agha Rafiullah, and Nabil Gabol — staged a walkout from the meeting, citing disrespectful behaviour from the state minister.
