Medical Superintendent of DHQ Teaching Hospital Khuzdar Dr Sarmad Saeed Khan has been suspended for unsatisfactory medical arrangements and administrative negligence in the hospital after the Khuzdar incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to Balochistan Chief Minister’s Advisor Shahid Rind, the government took immediate and effective action against the shortcomings in medical arrangements that came to light during the Khuzdar incident and took departmental action against the responsible officer.
On the instructions of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, accountability will continue without discrimination under the zero-tolerance policy for negligence, incompetence and poor performance in the health sector.
Providing timely, quality and effective medical facilities to the public is the top priority of the Balochistan government and no concession will be made to any officer or official who obstructs this goal.
Administrative reforms and effective oversight are being further strengthened to promote transparency, accountability, and excellent public services in government institutions.
