The police in Lahore have arrested four members of the Billi dacoits gang during a special operation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Civil Lines Chaudhry Asar Ali said that these members of the Billi gang were involved in different incidents of robbery and dacoity in different areas of the city.
These accused also snatched currency, mobile phones, and other items from the citizens at gunpoint.
Chaudhry Asar Ali said that various criminal cases were registered against the accused in different police stations in the city.
Race Course police also recovered two motorcycles, LCDs, laptops, mobile phones, and bullets from the dacoits’ custody.
These accused were identified as Shakeel alias Billi, Kabir, Yaqoob, and Arsalan. SP Chaudhary Asar Ali lauded the outstanding performance of the Race Course police for arresting these notorious dacoits.
SP Chaudhry Asar Ali said that local police are using all resources to curb street crimes in the city.
