Veteran politician and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has congratulated Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for securing victory in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message released on Tuesday, Ch Shujaat said that “people of Gilgit-Baltistan voted for democracy, progress and stability.”
He said that victory in general elections shows the spirit of people's service, political vision, and people's confidence in the system.
Shujaat Hussain also lauded the party’s office-bearers for running a successful election campaign. He said that Pakistan Muslim League leaders also delivered the candidates' manifesto to the people at their doorsteps.
He advised both the winning parties to join hands for the progress and development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
