A man was killed in Rahim Yar Khan after his son-in-law allegedly ran him over with a car during a domestic dispute, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to police, raids are underway to arrest the suspect, who fled the scene following the incident.
Police said the victim, identified as the suspect’s father-in-law, died on the spot after being struck by the vehicle during a heated exchange between family members.
A relative stated that the woman had been living at her parental home for the past one and a half years due to ongoing marital issues.
He said the family, along with relatives, had brought the couple together in an attempt to reconcile.
He added that tensions escalated during the discussion, leading to a verbal altercation.
According to him, the victim tried to persuade the son-in-law to resolve the matter, but the situation worsened.
The relative further said that the father attempted to stop the son-in-law from leaving by standing in front of the vehicle, but the driver allegedly ran him over and fled the scene.
