The Pakistan Army held special ceremonies at the Karachi and Lahore garrisons to honour its martyrs and veterans, paying tribute to their sacrifices, service, and commitment to the country.
According to military sources, a dignified ceremony was held in Karachi to recognise the sacrifices, selfless service and patriotism of martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army.
During the event, military awards, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Basalat, were conferred upon martyrs of the Pakistan Army and the families of personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony was attended by senior military officers and close relatives of the martyrs. Corps Commander Karachi was the chief guest and met with the families of the martyrs, paying tribute to their sacrifices and dedication to the nation.
A similar ceremony was also held at Lahore Garrison, where GOC Lahore Garrison attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the GOC Lahore Garrison said the Pakistan Army had demonstrated its professional capabilities on various fronts and earned recognition at the international level.
He assured the families of martyrs and veterans of the army's continued support and cooperation, saying every possible assistance would be extended to them.
"Our martyrs and veterans are our real strength and pride. The nation can never forget their eternal sacrifices," he said.
The ceremonies were held to acknowledge the contributions of serving and retired military personnel and to honour the families of those who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country.
