Pakistani esports team 4Thrives Esports has brought international recognition to the country after winning the PUBG Mobile World Open 2026 Season 1 championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
The Lahore-based team delivered a standout performance to claim the world title, defeating competitors from around the globe and completing a remarkable rise from national champions to world champions.
The Pakistani squad emerged as the best-performing team among the world’s top competitors, finishing at the top of the standings with 122 points.
Their remarkable campaign included three Chicken Dinners and an impressive 77 eliminations across the final matches.
As champions, 4Thrives secured a prize of $62,500 from the tournament’s overall prize pool of $500,000.
The tournament featured more than 1.2 million registered players, making it one of the largest competitions in mobile gaming history.
By emerging victorious, the Pakistani squad also earned a Guinness World Record linked to the event's unprecedented participation level.
In addition to lifting the trophy, 4Thrives Esports also qualified for the upcoming Esports World Cup, where the team will compete against some of the world's leading esports organizations.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan's gaming community and highlights the increasing role of young Pakistani players in global competitive gaming.
