Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi has announced the launch of a free Artificial Intelligence summer camp for students across the province, aiming to equip youth with practical technology skills during the upcoming school holidays, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference at the Governor's House in Karachi, Hashmi said students would receive hands-on AI training at no cost, designed to prepare them for the demands of a fast-changing digital world.
Minister of State and Prime Minister's Special Assistant Fahad Haroon, Danyal Nagori and other prominent figures were present on the occasion.
He said that any child who already knows how to use a mobile phone can learn AI with the right guidance.
Hashmi stressed that early exposure to technology was no longer a luxury but a necessity.
"Developed nations invest in education, research and skills development from a young age, which is precisely why they maintain a competitive edge on the global stage."
He further said that nations advancing today are those connecting their children with technology and innovation from an early age. “Our goal is not only to make youth job seekers but also opportunity creators,” he added.
Hashmi stated that students should be introduced to AI and modern skills right from school level.
He said AI education would open new doors of higher education, employment, innovation, and economic empowerment for the youth.
