Another coronavirus patient has emerged in Pakistan, making it the seventh case in the country.
The new patient who tested positive for the novel coronavirus belongs to Karachi, Special Assistant to the PM Zafar Mirza confirmed on Sunday.
He said one of the earlier six patients, who earlier tested positive for the virus, had recovered and discharged from hospital.
“Another patient is on the verge of recovery,” he added.
“If we act responsibly, we can control the spread of this deadly coronavirus,” Mirza said in a tweet.

Earlier on Thursday Sindh government had confirmed the sixth coronavirus case of the country.
The spokesperson for the Sindh chief minister informed the media the virus-infected person was 69 years old and a resident of Karachi East.
The authorities have been directed to conduct tests of people who have been in contact with the affected person in recent days, he said.
