The Higher Education Department has announced the closure of all colleges and universities in view of the ongoing Middle East war and the domestic economic situation.
According to a formal notification issued by the department, educational institutions will remain closed from March 10 to March 31. The decision applies to all colleges and universities across the country.
The department has directed that all academic activities, except examinations, will shift to online mode during this period. Classes at colleges and universities will be conducted virtually to ensure the continuation of academic work.
However, the notification clarified that scheduled examinations will be held as per the announced timetable.
Officials said the move has been taken as a precautionary measure amid the evolving regional situation and economic challenges.
