The leakage of sensitive information about the Crime Control Department (CCD) teams is continuing as four accused were gunned down during two police encounters in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, these police encounters took place in Saddar and Kahna areas of the provincial capital.
In the first police encounter, the police were taking two arrested accused, Irfan and Asif, for recovery when suddenly their accomplices opened fire on the police team.
During heavy exchange of fire, both the accused were killed by the firing of their colleagues.
In the second police encounter, two accused, Shahid and Bilal, were gunned down in the Green Town area of Lahore. The firing of their accomplices killed the accused.
All the CCD personnel remained unhurt in these encounters. The police were taking the accused for recovery.
The dead accused were involved in serious crimes, including dacoity, snatching, murder, and drug-selling.
The accomplices of the arrested accused escaped from the scene. Police formed teams to arrest the escaped accused.
On the other hand, police high-ups summoned a detailed report within 24 hours about the accused who were killed in police encounters,
CCD sources said that strict action will be taken against those CCD personnel who were found leaking the information.
