Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider visited langar (free food centre) in Lahore on Thursday, where he distributed meals among the deserving people and sat with them to share meal.
On the occasion, Sardar Saleem said that the PPP has always worked for the welfare of poor people and made sacrifices for their betterment.
Speaking to the media, he said, “The people of Pakistan should not be afraid. Our army, navy, and air force are fully prepared to face the enemy.”
He also warned against fake news being spread on social media and said that such people should not be given any leniency.
Sardar Saleem called upon rich people to support the government in fighting poverty. “We all must stand together to help the needy,” he said. He further stated, “As long as I am the Governor, I will keep serving the people.”
In the end, the Governor also announced that the doors of the Governor's House are open for the poor and needy people.
