Twelve people, including the driver and teachers, were seriously injured when their bus collided in an accident caused by overspeeding on GT Road, Gujrat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The bus was returning after a recreational trip to Islamabad. Soon after receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the scene and provided first aid to the injured persons.
Six students, including the driver and teachers, received serious injuries. Rescue personnel said that they shifted a critically injured student to the DHQ and Major Aziz Bhatti Hospital.
All the injured persons belonged to a school in Gujranwala. Rescue personnel stated that during the initial investigation, it was revealed that the incident occurred due to overspeeding.
