Flight schedules at Karachi Airport were severely disrupted on Sunday due to an ongoing engineers’ strike, causing cancellations and delays across both domestic and international routes.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, a total of seven flights were cancelled, and three others faced delays at the Karachi Airport.
Among the cancelled flights were Emirates EK 609 from Karachi to Dubai, Oman Air WY 324 to Muscat, Salam Air OV 516 to Muscat, AirSial PF 143 to Lahore, AirBlue PA 404 to Lahore, AirSial PF 125 to Islamabad, and PIA PK 306 to Lahore.
Several flights were rescheduled with delays. PIA PK 308 from Karachi to Islamabad, originally set to depart at 4 am, will now depart at 11 pm PIA PK 330 to Multan will leave at 3 pm instead of 2 pm, and AirBlue PA 200 to Islamabad will depart at 3 pm instead of 1 pm.
Passengers were advised to check with their respective airlines for updated flight timings and to allow extra time for travel to the airport. Airline officials expressed regret for the inconvenience caused due to the disruption in operations.
