Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday directed the PML-N senators to withdraw the clause they had sought to insert in the 27th Amendment to grant immunity to the prime minister from criminal prosecution, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a tweet, the PM said that on his return from Azerbaijan, he learnt that a proposal had been made by some of his party senators to insert the clause in the amendment, which was not included in the draft approved by the federal cabinet.
