One robber was killed and legs of four were broken in alleged encounters with Crime Control Department (CCD) in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, CCD set up roadblocks at various places to arrest suspects of robbery and banditry.
CCD team raided to arrest Saeed Pathan, but there was resistance. CCD fired back and Saeed Pathan was killed in the two-way fire.
Teams chased to catch four suspects from two such groups. During this, the suspects met with accidents and four suspects had their legs broken.
Suspects Salman, Shoaib and Afzal were bandits while Shazam was a thief.
