Medical colleges and universities students have taken to the streets for protested in Lahore against increase in medical colleges’ fees and unfair policies of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Students of King Edward Medical University and Allama Iqbal Medical University participated in the protest.
Students of Fatima Jinnah Medical College, University of Health Sciences and Services Institute of Medical Sciences, among other institutions also participated.
On this occasion, the Nazim-e-Ala of the Islami Jamiat Tulba Pakistan Hassan Bilal Hashmi and Nazim-e-Lahore Abdullah Bin Abbas also joined the protest.
The students demanded that increase in fees should be withdrawn and the passing marks and attendance percentage of students should be reduced.
They further demanded that the minimum passing marks of students should be returned to 50 percent and the attendance in classes should also be brought back to 75 percent.
