The government on Tuesday cut the power tariff for consumers across the country under the fuel price adjustment formula, 24NewsHD TV reported.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) decreased the electricity tariff by Rs1.79 per unit and notified the decision.
This decrease in power tariff has been made in the monthly bills of July 2025, according to the notification, and people will see this relief in the monthly bills of September 2025.
The decision will benefit consumers of K-Electric and other power distribution companies.
CPPA had sought a cut of Rs1.69 per unit in the July adjustment.
