The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 80.26 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs13 million and arrested 10 accused who were supplying and selling narcotics in the jurisdiction of educational institutions in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The narcotics were seized during seven intelligence-based operations. In the first operation, the ANF team recovered 300 grams of heroin from the possession of an accused in Attock.
The arrested accused admitted to supplying narcotics to students in educational institutions.
In another operation, the ANF team was deputed at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar and recovered 2.595 kilograms of ice from his custody. The drug was tactfully hidden in the clothes of the accused.
In a separate operation in Kasur, the ANF team recovered 8.4 kilograms of opium, 30 bore pistols, 1 MP5 along with an empty magazine and arrested four accused in Kasur.
In an operation at Kot Abdul Malik Toll Plaza, the ANF team recovered 6 kilograms of hashish from an accused who was riding a motorcycle.
In Hyderabad, the ANF team seized 6 kilograms of hashish and arrested one accused. ANF team arrested one accused and recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish, 1 kilogram of ice, and 500 grams of heroin near Chungi No. 26 in Islamabad.
In an operation in Dalbadin District Chaghi, an ANF team recovered 41 kilograms of opium and 750 kilograms of ice from three unidentified vehicles.
Police registered separate cases against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997.
