Ramadan may wrap up in 29 days, predicts Met Office

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted across the country on Tuesday, April 9 this year and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the birth of the new moon will be on Monday, April 8 at 11:21 pm, and on Tuesday, April 9 at the time of sunset, the age of the moon will be 19 to 20 hours.
The Meteorology Department reported that the duration of the moon's appearance on the horizon next Tuesday will be more than 50 minutes after sunset.
As per the prediction of the Met Office, the holy month of Ramazan will be 29 days this year and after seeing the crescent of the Islamic month of Shawwal, Pakistanis, especially ladies and children will celebrate 'Chand Raat' on April 9 to welcome Eid Day glamorously.
In most parts of the country, including the southern regions, the forecast on April 9 is likely to remain clear, while the forecast may be cloudy in the northern regions.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (CRHC) Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has already indicated the likelihood of Eidul Fitr being celebrated on April 10 in Pakistan.
Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad highlighted the possibility of the completion of the holy month of Ramadan with 29 days this year on scientific grounds.

Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council's last year prediction

The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council had made a prediction of the date of April 21 (Saturday) regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon in Pakistan last year.
Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, said that Ramazan 30 will be celebrated on the 21st April and 1st Shawwal will be celebrated on the 22nd April.
And it is worth mentioning that the Pakistani nation celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday (April 22) as per the accurate scientific prediction.
