In a surprise move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan advised the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) to keep the size of Punjab cabinet small, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

“The PTI chief has instructed the PML-Q that the Punjab cabinet size should not exceed 20 members,” said sources privy to the matter.

“The PML-Q, on the other hand, is not willing to keep the size of cabinet small, and it asserts that the small size cabinet will affect the performance of the Punjab government,” they added.

It is to be noted here that PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had been elected as the Chief Minister of Punjab with the support of the PTI MPAs a few days back.

It also merits a mention here that the PML-Q is completely dependent on the PTI in Punjab.
