The traffic police in Lahore has resorted new technology to overcome the traffic problems in the provincial capital as per Lahore High Court’s order.

In a new move, the City Traffic Police (CT) Lahore has started using clamps to fine wrongly parked vehicles in the city.

City Traffic Officer Lahore Assad Malhi opened the drive against wrong parking Thursday by clipping vehicles on Jail road.

While talking to media persons, CTO Lahore Assad Malhi said the major reason for traffic jams was wrong parking.

“Vehicles will only be unclipped after paying the ticket, and awareness flyers will be posted on the windscreens of vehicles” he added.

According to officials, clamps will be distributed according to the commercial markets activity in different areas.
