LPG price up by Rs10.37 per kilogramme

Following the hike in petroleum products’ prices, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was also increased by Rs10.37 per kilogramme (kg) on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

With over 10 rupees increase, the LPG would now be available to consumers at Rs157 per kilogramme in February.

The price of an LPG cylinder of 11 kg, meant for domestic use, has now reached Rs1863.14 per kg following an increase by Rs122.

The federal government on Sunday (January 31) had increased the petroleum products’ prices by Rs2.70 per litre.

According to the notification issued by the finance ministry, the petrol price increased by Rs2.70 to Rs111.90 per litre. With an increase of Rs2.88 per litre, the new price of high-speed diesel reached Rs116.07 per litre.

The price of kerosene oil was also increased by Rs3.54 to Rs73.83 per litre. With the increase of Rs3 per litre, the new price of light diesel reached Rs70.86 per litre.

As per details, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had sent a summary to the government, recommending an increase in the prices of petroleum products, which the government approved and issued a notification.
