The board of directors of the Pakistan Television (PTV) on Friday suspended PTV Managing Director Aamir Manzoor for 10 days on charges of corruption and abuse of power. 

Sources say the board has ordered an inquiry into the charges against Aamir. According to sources, Aamir had transferred and posted some officers on Thursday. He had given additional charge of the office of the director (administration) to Director (Sports) Nauman Hamid Niaz. He had also removed Zafarullah Khan from his office and appointed Saifullah Shahid as controller of administration. 

Information Additional Secretary Shahida Shahid has been appointed acting managing director of the PTV.
