Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday warned the nation to get ready for more inflation in the coming days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the PTI activists gathered at Liberty Chowk here through a video link, he urged the government to approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to subside the default risk.

The former prime minister made it clear that the country had no other option, but to approach the IMF as soon as possible.

“If the nation doesn’t go to the IMF, the country will default.”

Taking a jibe at the government, he said that the rulers have ruined the economy- which was going upward during his time.

Inflation is increasing with each passing day. Industries are closing down and industrialists are going out. At least 7.5 million Pakistanis have left the country in recent months.

The former premier said he wanted to give a message to Pakistanis in this difficult, we will get Pakistan out of it if all citizens get their belts tight to fight the situation.

“I fought, my life is in danger, but I will not go out of the country, I will fight, he added.

Imran Khan said that the only solution to all the problems is the unity of the people, urging the nation to struggle for the establishment of a system of justice.

Underscoring the PTI’s role in flood relief, the deposed premier said, "When the country was facing unprecedented floods, we collected money for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood-stricken people.

Earlier, the PTI chief disclosed the establishment asked three lawmakers from his party to remain neutral in the matter of Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi’s vote of confidence.
