UK-returned girl raped by family friend in Lahore

A British-Pakistani who returned to Lahore to attend her father’s funeral was raped by the son of one of the family’s close friend at Wahdat Colony in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The victim girl recorded her statement before the police that when she returned to Lahore as her father expired, her step-mother expelled her from the house. “I took refuge at one of my father’s closest friends but his son raped me for three days,” she alleged. 

Police said that accused Faizan tried to escape but as per DIG (Operations) Sajid Kiyani the rapist has been arrested last night and now shifted to the investigation wing for further probe.

The IGP Punjab sought a report from CCPO. Police have also completed DNA and medical tests of the victim girl.

DIG Operations Sajid Kiyani appreciated SHO Wahdat Colony for timely arrest of the accused.
