Punjab Assembly Speaker and candidate for the slot of Chief Ministership Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Friday declared the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) about re-election a victory of democracy.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Speaker Elahi talked to the media after the court’s decision and said a good decision has been made regarding the elections of the Chief Minister.

Elahi said the SC decision came to light according to the requirement of justice.

On a query about his chances of winning the election for the chief minister on July 22, Elahi said he will (become CM) if God’s will.
