Pakistani famous singer and qawwal, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has expressed shock at Bollywood composer-singer Wajid Khan’s sudden demise.

Wajid Khan died in early hours on Monday, according to Hindustan Times.

Confirming the news, singer Sonu Nigam posted on his official social media handle: “My brother Wajid left us.”

The cause of death has not been reported yet, but unconfirmed reports have suggested that Covid-19 suffered from the artist.

On the other hand, a report in filmibeat.com stated that Wajid had suffered from a kidney problem over the past few years, and was reportedly on a ventilator after being recently hospitalized.

Rahat took to Twitter and shared a picture with the late Bollywood composer with a caption, “I have just lost my brother today. Wajid Bhai was more than a friend and a composer to me. May Allah Bless him Jannat. Ameen.”
